The living count their days by the Royal Era, reckoned from the year the realm was founded; the old scrolls use the Era of Gods, counting an age far older—so old no one still remembers it.

Iron coin, silver seal, tomb-gold—the right to mint belongs to Ironhold alone. The Sandgold Alliance holds exchange, credit, and cross-border transfers, yet cannot mint a single coin.
