Myriad Academy

The academy is divided into five colleges, corresponding to five civilizations' arts: Eastern Fang Channels, Western Magic, Indian Mantra-Wheels, Middle Eastern Starsand Arts, and African Ancestral Pacts. The five lineages see the world in utterly different ways.

A white tower of immeasurable height at the academy's center. It bears a bell, whose toll rises up from the academy's 'bottom.' On the night of enrollment, the bell rang five times—one for each of the five colleges completing its check-in.

The academy has no single gate. London's clock tower, Yunjin's old temple, the Cairo underground, Istanbul's arch, Lhasa's stone steps, a Mayan temple—every gate leads to the same one academy.

A hidden academy of the arts that exists on no map. Those who have never seen that ring can read its name but can't hold onto it—they forget it within a minute of turning away.
